With seven consecutive winning seasons as the Tar Heels Head Coach, Larry Fedora is looking ahead to 2015 football. His primarily young team is hoping to fulfill their potential for greatness and build on the momentum from last year's strongly-finished season. (The Tar Heels crushed Cincinnati in the Belk Bowl for an easy 39-17 victory.)
Returning starting QB Marquise Williams (Junior) will have to utilize his pair of star receivers Quinshad Davis (Junior) and Ryan Switzer (Soph.) if he hopes to live up to the legacy of the Tar Heels' successful past... Making headline for the Tar Heels once more, Dre' Bly ('99), a former North Carolina defensive back was chosen as one of 14 members of the 2014 College Football Hall of Fame class. In a May press release Bly stated, "It's a dream come true that hasn't really sunk in yet. I was fortunate to play with a great group of guys in Chapel Hill who pushed me every day to become a better player. We had one of the best defenses in the country with future NFL players all over the field. I wouldn't be accepting this honor without them and the great coaching staff under the leadership of Mack Brown."
